Pricing, Minimum Quantities & Straining
Our bulk Spring and Summer crops are currently priced at £3.50 per lb (approximately £7.70 per kg). Minimum order quantities apply. To preserve its natural character, our honey is extracted and stored in its raw state; it will therefore require coarse straining prior to retail bottling to remove stray honeycomb cappings.
Nationwide Pallet Freight & Direct Collection
Orders can be collected directly from our Warwickshire honey house by prior arrangement, or palletised and delivered nationwide via tracked freight network across the UK mainland. Whether you require a single 20kg bucket or multiple 300kg drums for commercial production, we supply 100% British honey with clear origin and batch documentation.

Commercial & Trade Applications

- Artisan Bakeries & Food Production: Single-source British honey for premium baked goods, dressings, and confectionery.

Storage, Straining & Handling Guidance
Straining & Bottling Requirements
What trade buyers need to know before jarring our bulk honey:
- Coarse Straining Required: Because our bulk honey is unpasteurised and minimally handled, it contains small particles of wax cappings and must be passed through a coarse strainer prior to retail jarring.
- Gentle Warming: Pure honey naturally sets in bulk containers. You will need a warming cabinet or heating jacket to gently warm the bucket (max 35°C) to reliquefy the honey for smooth pouring.
- Basic Bottling Setup: A food-grade settling tank with a honey gate valve and a coarse stainless-steel mesh filter is sufficient to jar efficiently. Commercial packers must be registered as a food business with their local authority.
Container Formats & Freight Logistics
Flexible supply options scaled to your operation:
- 20kg Food-Grade Buckets: Tamper-evident, food-grade plastic buckets with heavy-duty handles. Easy to stack, store, and fit into standard beekeeping warming cabinets.
- 300kg Commercial Steel Drums: Food-grade lined drums suited to commercial food manufacturers, breweries, and high-volume packing operations.
- Nationwide Pallet Freight: Delivered safely on wrapped pallets across the UK mainland via tracked freight networks.
- Apiary Collection: Collect directly from our Warwickshire honey house by appointment to save on freight charges.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bulk Honey
Find answers regarding bottling requirements, crystallisation, and legal labelling:
Can I jar and sell this honey under my own brand?
Yes. Many independent farm shops, delis, and beekeepers purchase our bulk containers to bottle under their own labels. You must ensure your premises are registered as a food business with your local environmental health department, and that your labels comply with UK honey regulations (such as The Honey (England) Regulations 2015 and devolved equivalents). Resellers must accurately state the country of origin (e.g. Produce of England or British Honey) and must not describe the honey as their own harvest or local to their area if it was produced in our Midlands apiaries.
What equipment do I need to jar honey from a 20kg bucket?
You do not require industrial bottling machinery. To package honey from a 20kg bucket, you need a temperature-controlled warming method (such as an insulated warming cabinet) to gently reliquefy set honey, a coarse food-grade strainer to remove stray beeswax particles, and a settling tank fitted with a honey gate valve for accurate jar filling.
Will bulk honey arrive liquid or crystallised?
Because our honey is unpasteurised, it naturally crystallises over time. Depending on the season, ambient storage temperatures, and whether you order Spring or Summer harvest, buckets and drums will arrive semi-set or fully set. Buyers should be prepared to gently warm containers (under 40°C) to return the honey to a liquid state for bottling.
How is your bulk honey extracted and handled?
Our bulk honey is extracted directly from drawn honey comb at our Warwickshire honey house, warmed only to natural hive temperatures (max 35°C) to allow it to pass into food-grade containers. It is not heat-pasteurised or pressure micro-filtered, retaining its natural floral character and pollens.
What is the shelf life and recommended Best Before date for bulk honey?
Pure honey has a naturally low moisture content and water activity, making it exceptionally stable when stored correctly in airtight food-grade containers. In line with standard UK beekeeping and packaging practice, a Best Before date of two years from the date of harvest or packing is typically applied. Store sealed buckets and drums in a dry room at stable room temperature away from direct sunlight.
