Over Wintered 6 Frame Nucleus With UK reared Buckfast Queen
Our overwintered 6 frame nucs with UK reared queens are headed by a 2023 Buckfast queen bee, produced by us from imported German and Danish Buckfast breeding stock, open mated in apiaries flooded with good quality Buckfast drones, the queen will be marked Red. Our nucs will be busting with bees and ready to be transferred into a full-size hive. Buckfast bees are known for being very prolific. Our overwintered nucs will usually build up in time to produce a late spring crop of honey and will be excellent for the summer honey flow and on the heather, as long as the conditions are right and the colony is managed correctly.
