Availability: We aim to have the first nucs ready at the beginning of April and to fulfil all orders by the end of the month. Please Be Aware That Good/Bad Weather During The Spring Can Influence How Early Collections Will Start. STOCKS ARE LIMITED!
£290.00

Our overwintered 5 frame nucs with UK reared queens are headed by a 2023 Buckfast queen bee, produced by us from imported German and Danish Buckfast breeding stock, open mated in apiaries flooded with good quality Buckfast drones, the queen will be marked Red. Our nucs will be busting with bees and ready to be transferred into a full-size hive. Buckfast bees are known for being very prolific. Our overwintered nucs will usually build up in time to produce a crop of late spring crop of honey and will be excellent for the summer honey flow and on the heather, as long as the conditions are right and the colony is managed correctly.

COLLECTION ONLY! PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF £290.00 OR A £70.00 NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE (We will refund booking fees for cancelled orders up until all orders have been taken for that specific nuc). If only a booking fee is paid, the remaining balance is payable just before collection (£220.00)

Please be aware that bad weather during the spring can create poor weather conditions which influences how early our overwintered nucs can build the colony size. This can often lead to delays of collections, through no fault of our own.

All nucs are COLLECTION ONLY. Please make sure you leave a CORRECT contact number and email. If we cannot contact you, we cannot arrange collection of your bees! In the event that we are unable to contact you your order will be put to the bottom of the orders list until we are able to contact you or you contact us. If we cannot contact you at all, we will cancel your order and you will lose the booking fee.

All of our 5 frame nucs with UK produced queens are mated and built up in polystyrene nuc boxes to ensure they have the best conditions for a newly established colony. Produced on British Standard National DN4 frames and transferred over to a temporary correx travel box the day before collection. Each nuc will have a young laying queen that is marked accordingly for the year, three to four frames of brood in different stages (eggs, larvae and sealed brood) with at least one frame of food. All of our honey/nuc production colonies are treated for varroa during the Autumn using approved treatments, keeping colonies strong and healthy for us to produce nucs in the spring and summer. Our nucs are perfect for all levels of experience whether you're a 'newbee' taking on your first hive or a commercial beekeeper wanting to expand.
