Our Overwintered nucs are headed by a 2025 Buckfast queen, marked accordingly. Busting with bees and ready to be transferred into a full-size hive. Buckfast bees are known for being very prolific. Our overwintered nucs will usually build up in time to produce a spring crop of honey and definitely a summer crop, as long as the conditions are right and the colony is managed correctly.

COLLECTION ONLY! PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF £270.00 OR A £70.00 NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE. (We will refund booking fees for cancelled orders up until all orders have been taken for that specific nuc). If only a booking fee is paid, the remaining balance is payable just before collection (£200.00).

All nucs are COLLECTION ONLY. Please make sure you leave a CORRECT contact number and email. If we cannot contact you, we cannot arrange collection of your bees! In the event that we are unable to contact you your order will be put to the bottom of the orders list until we are able to contact you or you contact us. If we cannot contact you at all, we will cancel your order and you will lose the booking fee.

the 4 nucs were bursting with energy, 3 have two supers on already. as always the family were all helpful and supportive. i had a little struggle with one nuc, and it is measure of the professionalism that i was immediately and willingly given frindly help and guidance to sort it.

All frames had lots of ready to emerge capped brood. Stores and pollen. Both are doing great. Fed them Both 1-1 syrup and they’re filling out the other 7 frames. I have had 5 nucs in total and Would recommend to anyone beginner or experienced

Very helpful advise and wonderful bees!

Picked up my first ever nuc of bees a little over 3 weeks ago as well as lots of good advice. Not that I have anything to compare with, but the colony seems to be thriving with a very productive queen. So much so that I've just done my first split to prevent swarming (I hope!)

Such lovely calm bees. The colony is healthy and grown so much in size. The people we dealt with were so helpful, offered advice and answered all my questions. They also advised they are available to phone if any issues. Lovely service, lovely bees. I'm very happy with my lovely bees.

Arrived at honey field farm on time, was greeted in a welcoming manner, no fuss, bees already packed. Excellent advice and when getting back home the bees didn’t take long to work out where they were. Moving them into the hive was easy, queen spotted already marked and the brood frames full of new workers. Had the bees a couple of weeks and they work like trogons, very very impressed with the quality of the bees and the service. Definitely using them again, many thanks.

Opening Hours & Placing Your Order

Opening Hours

Honeyfields Bee Farm telephone line is open between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday–Saturday (closed on bank holidays). We also close over the Christmas period from 23rd December to 3rd January.

Placing Your Order

You can order any items listed on the website by selecting them into your basket and following checkout instructions. You will have a chance to review your order before completing payment.

Personal information must be accurate. Payment can be made via credit/debit card or PayPal. Orders are processed once payment is received, and confirmation emails will be sent automatically. You retain the right to cancel all or part of your order prior to dispatch.

Delivery, Returns & Order Errors

Delivery

In-stock goods are dispatched promptly and typically arrive within 3–4 days from dispatch. Please ensure your delivery address, phone number, and postcode are correct upon checkout.

Important: If any products arrive damaged in transit, you must notify us immediately to qualify for a replacement.

Order Errors

Should there be an error with your order, notify us in writing within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange collection of the incorrect order and dispatch the corrected item on a next working day service upon receipt.

Returns Policy

Please contact us first before returning any item. Unwanted items returned unopened in their original condition qualify for a refund or replacement. Return postage costs apply. Opened or part-used goods cannot be returned.

Booking Fee

Booking fees reserve one or more nuclei under your name until the agreed payment/collection date. Booking fees are non-refundable if you cancel or fail to pay by the agreed time. Fees are fully refunded if we are unable to supply the product.

Collection Terms

All Nucleus colonies are collection only. Our team will contact you when your nucleus is ready to arrange a collection day.

Care Instructions: Once collected, keep the nucleus in a cool, shaded area out of direct sunlight before transferring to a hive. Overheating can cause severe damage or loss of the colony.

Queen Bees & Live Bee Postage

Queen Bees Policy

All imported queen bees enter via the UK Government IPAFFS system with UK health certificates verified by an NBU inspector. While selected for good temperament, temperament cannot be guaranteed.

We cannot guarantee acceptance of queens into your colony and do not take responsibility for failed acceptance. Drone-laying or non-laying queens will be replaced upon photo evidence.

Postage Details

Orders placed before 9:00 am qualify for same-day dispatch (Monday–Friday). Live queen bees cannot be returned.

Recommended Shipping: Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day Delivery (Tracked). Standard 1st Class Signed For is not tracked; delayed orders via Royal Mail are re-dispatched or refunded after 7 days.
