A cross of many subspecies and strains selected for individual traits. Buckfast queens are very prolific in the spring laying lots of eggs building up strong colonies for honey production in the spring and summer. Lower tendency to swarm, Calm on the comb and very placid bees when handled gently. They are the perfect bees for hobby and commercial beekeepers alike.
All of our imported Buckfast queen bees are imported from an EU breeder who we have been working with for many years. All imports arrive in the UK accompanied with a health certificate, which is inspected along with the queens on arrival by the NBU.
