Developed by Brother Adam, who was in charge of beekeeping from 1919 at Buckfast Abbey in Devon in the United Kingdom, the Buckfast bee is a hybrid honey bee. A cross of many subspecies and strains selected for individual traits. Buckfast queens are very prolific in the spring laying lots of eggs building up strong colonies for honey production in the spring and summer. Lower tendency to swarm, Calm on the comb and very placid bees when handled gently. They are the perfect bees for hobby and commercial beekeepers alike. 

All of our imported Buckfast queen bees are imported from an EU breeder who we have been working with for many years. All imports arrive in the UK accompanied with a health certificate, which is inspected along with the queens on arrival by the NBU. 

All queen bees are shipped using Royal Mail. Royal Mail is one of the only companies in the UK that handles and delivers queen bees, following all local legal requirements and safety standards. This ensures our queen bees are well looked after during transit, reaching you safely and securely.

All of our queen bees are dispatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1:00pm and must be signed for. This is to ensure that the queen spends minimal time in transit.

Our Buckfast queen bees for sale are naturally mated - Non laying or drone laying queens will be replaced if sufficient photographic evidence is provided at our request.

    Death Queen You said: Hi,I am a bee keeper last 5 years, I get two queen from you and I given them to my two queenless hives as soon as I get them, after 6 days later when I went in to hives to open the queen kages tabs so they can be released slowly by the bees but I find out buckfas queen and the workers are death in the kage,,the other hives and the queen is perfectly fine,some reason buckfast ones is death,is there anyway cam i have a replacement buckfast queen? I can send you the photos in the request, I don't think I don't anything wrong, when I received my orders I did actually noticed that buckfast queen was way to small it was look like a virgin queen maybe this is the reason I don't know,,let me know if I can sent some photos so you can see how small was the queen. Please can someone contact me ASAP, thanks
