Purchase of mated queen
Delivery, communication all spot on. However, the last time I purchased a mated queen was from Sipa. It was straightforward. The fondant could be eaten by those in the cage and also those out if it which worked really well and was successful. Honeyfields cage is all plastic so bees couldn't get out. I left the cage for the bees in the hive to acclimatise and then looked for a cap which I couldn't find and the only way was to slide out one side of the plastic. They could have just flown away but thankfully they did not, however they were totally exposed and I am guessing that the queen was attacked and killed as there is no sign of the mated queen a week or so later.

Very happy with the quality of the Queen received, accepted in the hive and laying within 2 weeks. There was a problem with the Royal Mail loosing the original Queen, but another was soon posted by Honey Fields. Great communication and support by the team.during a slightly stressful time.
